Quilt Gardens, Shipshewana Flea Market, Notre Dame University tour, Cook’s Bison Ranch, Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch, Amish tour, shopping, lots of Amish food!
Day 1 – Depart Midwest City and begin our journey to Amish Country in Indiana. Today is a great day to get acquainted with fellow travelers. We will enjoy lunch at Lambert's in Missouri. This evening we will overnight in Collinsville,IL (L,D)
Day 2 – Enjoy a hot breakfast before departing our hotel. We will make our way to South Bend, IN and get a tour of the historic Notre Dame campus. The tour will include visits to the Grotto, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Main Building (the Golden Dome) and the Hesburgh Library. Next stop is Shipshewana for a 3-night hotel stay. (B,L,D)
Day 3 –Enjoy a hot breakfast at the hotel before we head out to spend the morning at the Shipshewana Flea Market which is the size of 30 football fields! You will have lunch on your own at the food court and enjoy some shopping time. In the afternoon we will have a tour of Cook’s Bison Ranch where we will have a wagon ride to see and feed the bison. Next stop on today’s journey is visiting some of the famous Quilt Gardens in the area. The quilt gardens join quilting, gardening and art into a one-of-a-kind event featuring vibrant blooms in gigantic gardens. (B,D)
Day 4 – Enjoy a hot breakfast at the hotel before we meet our local guide to reveal the history, customs and traditions of the Amish. We will visit several Amish owned stores and enjoy an Amish lunch. (B,L,D)
Day 5 - Enjoy a delicious breakfast as we say goodbye to Amish Country today and begin our journey home. There will be a stop at Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch in Rantoul, IL. We will get the reindeer experience and a barbeque lunch at this amazing ranch. Tonight we will overnight in Rolla, MO. (B,L,D)
Day 6 – Enjoy a hot breakfast as we start back home. There will be a stop at Buc-ee’s in Springfield for some shopping and lunch. Comfort stops along the way back to Country Estates Baptist Church. (B)
