Day 1 – We depart Midwest City and begin our journey to Missouri with some donuts on the coach. We will enjoy an included lunch at Lambert’s in Ozark, Missouri before heading to Fantastic Caverns. We will discover the timeless beauty of Fantastic Caverns, one of the earth’s rarest treasures. We will see giant columns stretching from floor to ceiling, delicate soda straws glistening with minerals, tiny cave pearls hidden in crystal clear water. Inside the cave, the temperature remains at 60 degrees. And best of all, you’ll see it close-up from the comfort of a jeep-drawn tram! No walking through this cave! We will overnight in Springfield at the Drury Inn and have the Kickback Dinner(L,D)
Day 2 –Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Mansfield, Missouri to visit Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum and homes. After lunch on your own in Mansfield we will make our way back to Springfield to enjoy the Route 66 Car Museum located on the original Route 66 in Springfield. This privately owned car collection began in 1990 when Guy Mace bought his first Jaguar and began purchasing 2-4 cars a year. We will then visit the Mizumot Japanese Stroll Garden. It was created in 1985 and includes a large koi lake, moon bridge, meditation garden, tea house and traditional Japanese garden landscaping. Last stop of the day will be at Buc-ee’s for some retail therapy and a BBQ sandwich if you choose or you can enjoy the Kickback Dinner at the Drury Inn. (B,D)
Day 3 –Breakfast at the hotel before departing for the Precious Moments Chapel located in Carthage, Missouri. From the story of Creation to the promise of the Resurrection, the Precious Moments Chapel guides you through the many stories of God’s love through the exquisite artistry of Samuel J. Butcher. Spend some time getting to explore the gardens and cave before we enjoy an included group lunch at Taste of Italy. We will take a scenic drive through historic Carthage and Carthage Square before we depart for Midwest City and reflect on the fun time we had together. (B,L)
